A bridge not too far away

The Dents Run Covered Bridge is the last of its kind in Monongalia County.  And would it surprise you if you learned that it's also listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Monongalia County, West Virginia site?

Frankly, Dents Run hardly looks like a stream that needs a covered bridge.  These days it might have warranted a single corrugated pipe.
